The Students' Challenge is one of the PORTICO actions that take place in all four participating cities. Teams of students recruted at universities and university colleges of the PORTICO partner cities were asked to develop an innovative business case for the presentation of the (archaeological) heritage and history of their own city.
All (six) multidisciplinary teams presented their project at the PORTICO-conference on 24th November 2010 in Gent. Most of them include popular tools such as gaming and new media, and kids and youngsters as target groups.
The teams from Gent, Chester and Köln will report back a little later than Utrecht, because their academic year started on a later date. The students in the different cities share ideas, insights and information via video and skype conferences and live encounters.
The final results have been presented at a meeting in Köln in on April 11 2011. The winner of the student's challenge was the team of Utrecht.
